Methodist Men

The Men's Ministry of Holland's Church

"But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord." -Joshua 24:15.

The purposes of the Methodist Men (MM) are to:

1. Declare the centrality of Christ in every man's life.

2. Promote the spiritual growth of men through effective discipleship.

3. Model servant leadership of Christ in our daily lives.

All men in the church automatically belong to the MM-- no membership requirements and no dues. Our meetings include a business portion as well as a program, usually a guest speaker.  We meet the 3rd Monday of each month in the large Fellowship Hall at 7pm.

The MM are involved in several service projects throughout the year-- Warmth for Wake, Yam Jam (sweet potato gleaning for the Society of St. Andrew), Wednesday Night Live fundraising dinners and Meals on Wheels. We also help with home repairs and building projects (such as wheelchair ramps for MERCI and new cabins for Camp Rockfish).

The men have an annual weekend retreat each October; our recent retreats have been at Fort Caswell on Oak Island. We worship God (sometimes by an outside speaker, sometimes by our own pastor), we have free time for golf or other activities, and enjoy eating some great food. Make plans to join us!

We invite all men to get involved. It's a terrific way to get know the other men of the church in small group setting-- plus you can serve others while worshipping God!

Holland's Church is committed to encouraging the growth of our spiritual leaders through a balanced program of worship, biblical teaching, fellowship, and evangelism. Keep an eye on our events page to see upcoming events for the men of Holland's Church.
