Youth Ministry

Welcome to Holland's Church Youth Ministry!

There is great excitement about our vibrant Youth Ministry here at Holland's Church!

Holland's Youth Ministry provides lots of opportunities for students between 6th and 12th grade to enjoy fun and fellowship, seek to know God, be involved in various activities like music & sports, participate in exciting retreats, and serve in mission projects!

Ways to Get Involved

Sunday School: Every Sunday morning at 9:45am, our youth meet to study God's Word to learn how to be disciples of Christ as a teen in today's culture and in the future as adults.

Youth Group: On most Sunday evenings from 4-6pm, youth come together for fellowship, fun, and food! Our youth group is a place where teens can come, just as they are, and discover together how awesome our God is!

Youth Praise Band (PRZ): PRZ plays several times a year for one of the worship services and for special youth events like Discovery and Youth Sunday. Vocalists and instrumentalists join together to praise God through music and song!

Confirmation: Confirmation classes are offered to youth 6-12th grade during which essential beliefs of the church Universal and our denomination, in particular, are taught. A special worship service is held to recognize the young person's faith journey as they publicaly confirm their faith in Jesus Christ and affirm their desire to live as a disciple!

Retreats: Youth Retreats offer a special place to tune out the distractions of the world and tune into God. Locations include: Fort Caswell in Oak Island, NC, Lake Junaluska Retreat and Conference Center, and other venues.

Discovery Weekend: This weekend experience for middle schoolers is designed and led by our high school youth and adult leaders, as well as other members of the congregation. Youth are immersed in God's love and the love of our church, bringing them closer to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Missions: Participation is offered in a variety of missions including: church ministry to homeless families, ASP (Appalachia Service Project), Rise Against Hunger, and more!
